Hervé Di Rosa is a French painter born in 1959 in Sète. His works are characterized
through a colorful and expressive figurative style, blending pop art and naive art influences.
After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Montpellier, Di Rosa began to make a name for himself in the 1980s with his paintings depicting figures and scenes from everyday life. His unique style, with its vibrant colors and simplified forms, quickly earned him international recognition.

Along with Richard Di Rosa, François Boisrond, Rémi Blanchard, and Robert Combas, Di Rosa became one of the leading figures of the "Figuration Libre" art movement, which revived narrative and humorous painting in reaction to the dominant abstraction of the time. His works offer a quirky and joyful perspective on the contemporary world.

Alongside his career as a painter, Di Rosa dedicated himself to the creation of
museum design and installations. In 1982, he founded the International Museum of Arts
Modestes, which brings together works of outsider and folk art.

Exhibited in numerous countries, the artist has received several awards, including the Prize of
Painting of the City of Paris in 1986. His canvases are now found in the most prestigious museums.
