Lamp from the Cuboluce collection, designed by the Italian designers Franco Bettonica Mario Melocchi for the Cini&Nils brand in the 1970s.
The Cuboluce series is characterized by simple, often cubic, geometric shapes and materials such as metal and glass. This understated and functional style was very representative of Italian design of that era.
This lamp is also part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York and the Triennale Museum in Milan. Its small size allows this table lamp to take up very little space.
The light bulb illuminates when the box is opened.
